Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that involves moving individual hair follicles from one part of the scalp to areas with little or no hair. The transplanted follicles usually grow into permanent hair. Unlike hair extensions or wigs, which can appear false or out of place in your natural hair, hair transplantation results look very natural and will blend in with your other hair. This is due to the fact that the transplanted hair is your own, naturally growing hair.부산모발이식추천

During your first consultation, your surgeon will discuss your goals and review your medical history to determine whether hair transplantation is right for you. They will also explain the process and costs. The surgeon will then recommend a treatment plan that best suits your needs.

Once your consultation is complete, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork and sign consent forms. Then, the surgeon will numb the area of your scalp where the surgery will take place using a needle or scalpel.

Hair restoration surgery can be performed with a scalpel or the newer technique of follicular unit extraction (FUE). With either method, you will lie down on the operating table and your surgeon will use a local anesthetic to numb the area.

For a scalpel-based procedure, your surgeon will make an incision in the skin of the back of your head. Then, they will remove a strip of hair-bearing scalp and carefully close it with stitches. Your surgeon will then microscopically divide the strip of hair for implantation in your balding or thinning areas.

The surgeon will usually use an automated follicular unit extractor or manually cut the follicles with a scalpel. Then, they will put the follicles into an implanter or other tool that holds them in a solution of chilled sterile saline for implantation into your balding or thinning areas.

After the follicles are transplanted, your surgeon will suture up the incisions. Most patients need a few days to recover. They can expect their transplanted hair to fall out a little or start to grow in about a month after the operation. During this time, the new hair may feel itchy or irritated but should soon start to grow in smoothly and normally.

Some grafts may not survive, and a noticeable scar might form. This is a rare occurrence but should be discussed with your surgeon. If you have a low density, your doctor can also perform a hairline revision to fill in areas where the old hair has thinned. This can make a dramatic difference in your appearance.
