Story Time

Parenting Club

Come discuss the trials and tribulations (and the perks too!) of parenthood at our bi-weekly brown bag lunches. These times are supported by our newly created parenting resource collection.
Meetings take place every other Wednesday from 11:00-12:30


Middle School Book Club
Hate reading books by yourself? Don't want to do summer reading? We're having a BOOK CLUB where we read one book from the Webster Middle School Reading list each week. Feel free to come to whichever ones you want. Books and schedules are available in the yellow shelf in the children's room.

Summer Reading:

This summer, our reading program will be a little different -- reaching certain quantities of reading will allow children to receive tickets that they can use to buy prizes at the library store. if you are having trouble or do not have access to the internet, feel free to come to the library where we can help you.

PreK-Grade 2:

The goal is to read 15 minutes each day -- every time you read for 2.5 hours (15 minutes 5 times); you are eligible for a ticket. Tickets are redeemable for prizes at the library store.

What counts as reading?

    Reading a book alone
  • Having a book read to you
  • Listening to a book on tape/CD
  • School-required summer reading also counts!

Grades 3-6: The goal is to read 50 pages every week. Every time you read 50 pages, come to the library to get a ticket that you can trade for prizes @ the library store.

What counts as a book?

  • Chapter books, comics/manga, or magazines you read by yourself. Books that you have to read for school.
